The reactions to our show where once again very positive, there is a definite crave for rock-music in this part of Africa. We came, we rocked, and we made a success. Defueld is back from Africa baby!!! How shall I start to describe this tour? To be the first heavy metal band to perform in West Africa is quite a cool feeling. I mean, no one has ever done this before. When we arrived I must admit that we all were a bit worried that there would be like 1000 Senegalese guys trying to chase “the evil hard rockers from hell” out of the country, but as it turned out, the Senegalese public really appreciated our music. One of the best memories I have from the tour is when we performed a free show in Pikine (a suburb to Dakar) for around five- or six- THOUSAND PEPOLE and almost everyone was screaming and jumping around like crazy. Not exactly what you think of when you think about Africa, right? We are in the middle of putting together a diary of the whole trip and choosing pictures to post and of course edit our video tapes (and there are a lot of them). Hi! Johan here! I´m sorry to inform you all that due to personal and family matters, I have decided to leave the band. I wish the boys and the crew and every one around good luck and great success in the future with lots of gigs and lots of new fans! Best wishes Johan Sundborger. All of us souls engaged in Defueld wish Johan best of lucks and a great future! With all things set in motion the last couple of months, its feels sad to haveto part from a brother in arms, but the parting has been in all kindness and we are still best of friends, there is no bullshit in between us! In the shadow of this event, we have joined forces with drummer Patrik Jansson (Maryslim), who will be joining us in the forthcoming events in Africa. And when it comes to the event in Africa, we are proud to announce that there has been an interest from swedish national televisionstation TV4 to join us on this adventure of ours, and the hypothetical plan as of now, is that a camerateam will come to Africa with us to record this historic event. We await to see what the future holds in its embrace! |

Defueld is to headline, in the city of Dakar, in Senegal, in AFRICA! Thru the dates 3rd - 10th of November, the local musicfestival will host Defueld during several dates. This event has gotten a great amount of attention among the members of europes visual mediaproducers, and in a nearby future we will be able to announce members of the media to be following this event! Defueld is also proud to declare that ALL earnings and winnings during this event will be donated to an africa-based charity organisation that raises money for african orphants living in the streets, striving towards better conditions of living for these unfortunate human beings. Cover Art Competition Alongside the african event, we plan to release our yet unnamed Album! Work is still being done in the studio and we will soon be able to send the material for mixing and mastering, and ofcourse, release the first single! Because of this, decisions have been made and as a result of those some radical changes in the band's line-up. As of today, Benny, Ludde and Jerry are no longer a part of the band. Defueld has always been pushing forward, and they felt that they didn’t have time or motivation to continue being a part of Defueld any longer due to, amongst other things, time restrictions We need to underline that there is no bullshit going on between us. We will still continue to be the best of friends even thou we aren’t working together anymore. This is NOT the end of Defueld. Alex and I will continue to move Defueld forward. Even thou we need to get some new members, nothing else have changed in the overall plan. The CD is still on the table and we will continue to work on it. So, if you play bass, keys or drums, consider this a contact ad. |

First of all, we would like to apologize for the extremely bad sound at the gig at Tantogården last Friday. We hope that you understand that the problem was an extremely bad and lazy sound technician that will never work for Defueld ever again. Another thing we would like to apologize for is the age limit. We were told that it would be OK with metalheads under 18 to enter along with an adult, but then the owners of the club had a last minute change of heart. We would really like to make it up to you, because we feel that the show you went to wasn’t worth the price you paid, so here’s our suggestion: Everybody with a ticket or with his / hers name on the guest list will have a FREE TICKET to the next Defueld show. We where planning not to do any gigs before to record was released but, we feel we need to make it up to our fans. The gig will hopefully be done in late January. We can’t give you anymore info right now because we haven’t decided venue or date yet, but the info will be released here as soon as possible. We will contact everybody that had booked tickets through Defueld and our officials. |

| The work on the album is floating on real good. Defueld is stil in pre-production but is getting ready to enter the studio. Last night they built Jerrys drumrack in Studio Music Solutions and this weekend they will start to test diffrent drumsounds. |

| As from today, Defueld entered a stage of pre-production of the new record along with legendary producer/engineer Anders Oredson. The record will hopefully be done around December or January, but it’s too soon to set an official release date. We will keep you posted about the latest news. Stay tuned. |

The concert at Klubben two nights ago we made it official that Viktor was quitting the band. We want to make sure that everybody knows that it was his decision to do so and that there is no bullshit around it. We love and respect Viktor and wish him all the best in the future. He will always be considered as a member/brother of the band. He will post a statement here on the website as soon as possible. This might come as a surprise for you, but we have known this for quite a while, so we have been auditioning for a new drummer and we have found him. Our newest brother of the band is named Jerry Östman and we have already started to rehearse with him. We welcome him to the Defueld family with open arms and hope that you do the same thing. Welcome to the new Defueld.Com. As you can see there have been a lot of changes. The new homepage has been developed by Gustaf Gideskog at Yesic. We hope that the new design will make it easier for us to give you the latest news and happenings in the world of Defueld. Here’s a list of some news on the homepage: 1. Online Mp3 player 2. | The mixing and mastering of the album is finished. We went out of the studio at 21.00 on Friday the 27th. The record will start to press next week. |
